OUR LEADERSHIP, SUPERVISORS AND WORKFORCE COMMITMENT (PT-1)
At AGS safety means that the Leadership commits to
- Promoting ‘integrity’ safety culture through leadership by accountability and responsibility
- The fact that no job or task is more important than our workers health and safety.
- Using the SMS as a standard to be met and to ensure that we provide a higher standard of safety, security, quality and protection to people and the environment.
- Effective communication on company policy and requirements through induction, trainings and company communication programs.
- Providing employees with the opportunity to get involved in promoting safety, reporting injuries, incidents, and other safety related occurrences.
- Ensuring that sufficient skilled trained and competent employees are available to implement the SMS
- Applying human factor principle by providing human factor training to all required persons to develop awareness, skills, and increased perception on hazard to reduce human error.
- Fostering and maintaining a continuous improvement program to ensure that the SMS remains effective and relevant.
- Reviewing this policy annually or more frequently in the event of organizational change in structure, personnel or following an incident with a significant risk rating.
All Frontline supervisors shall commit to:
- Transparency (Just Culture) in decision making to eliminate unacceptable behaviors.
- Enforcing compliance to applicable standards in their area of accountability.
- Encouraging and empowering frontline workers to report hazards or any safety occurrence
- Ensuring that training needs of the frontline workforce are met.
- Monitoring and reporting any unsafe work or behavioral issues. All company employees commit to:
- Working with integrity and stop any work that appears to be unsafe. Even if it’s a normal condition for employment.
- Getting involve in safety as a personal business.
- Reporting any safety event or hazard that may have caused or have the potential to cause harm, injury or damage to people, environment, asset, and company reputation.
- Following safety standards and ensuring that work is performed in accordance with procedures.
