Alaska General Services , Equatorial Guinea S.L, was founded in 2022 with the intent to support all multinational companies, service providers operating in the country. As a key player in the provision and support of services , we also see the need to keep promoting the Equatorial Guinea government initiatives and plans in the local market. We support the Equatorial Guinea government initiative in national content and nationalization in the oil & gas sector, construction sector and private sector.
Our dedicated team of Equatorial Guinea national have vast exposures and experience in the best & safest industry practices to complete any project or task in the safest and timely manner without any injury to the workforce, damage to the environment in which we operate. AGS-EG is an indigenous / local content company which its leaders are committed to: o Training the local workforce with the best industry practices in construction sector , oil & gas sector o Promote and engage with our local workforce with the best safety culture o Committed in training, mentoring, coaching its employees on procedures, policies , standards , SOP,s and on the jobs know how o Ensuring we keep to our contractual obligations and deliver results in a safe manner o An incident free operation is achievable with AGS –Equatorial Guinea. o AGS-EG brings the right experience onboard, equipment, tools to support all specialized and technical services in a cost effective way o AGS-EG knows that the satisfaction and delivering of results in an incident free working environment is non-negotiable. OUR POLICY (PT-1)
Safety remains the core value in Alaska General Services (AGS). AGS’s SMS (Safety Management System) shall be the
foundation to which all decisions are made.
The effectiveness of this policy shall be monitored through the company 12 SMS elements.
At AGS safety means that:
The organization commits to:
- Promoting ‘integrity’ safety culture through leadership by accountability and responsibility.
- The fact that no job or task is more important than our workers health and safety.
- Using the SMS as a standard to be met and to ensure that we provide a higher standard of safety, security, quality and protection to people and the environment.
- Effective communication on company policy and requirements through induction, trainings and company communication programs.
- Providing employees with the opportunity to get involved in promoting safety, reporting injuries, incidents, and other safety related occurrences.
- Ensuring that sufficient skilled trained and competent employees are available to implement the SMS.
- Applying human factor principle by providing human factor training to all required persons to develop awareness, skills, and increased perception on hazard to reduce human error.
OUR POLICY (PT-2):
- Fostering and maintaining a continuous improvement program to ensure that the SMS remains effective and relevant.
- Reviewing this policy annually or more frequently in the event of organizational change in structure, personnel or following an incident with a significant risk rating. All supervisors and leaders shall commit to
- Transparency (Just Culture) in decision making to eliminate unacceptable behaviors
- Encouraging and empowering employees to report hazards or any safety occurrence.
- Enforcing compliance to applicable standards in their area of accountability.
- Ensuring that training needs of subordinates are met.
- Monitoring and reporting any unsafe work behavioral issues. All company employees commit to: • Working with integrity and stop any work that appear to be unsafe. Even if it’s a normal condition for employment
- Getting involve in safety as a personal business.
- Reporting any safety event or hazard that may have caused or have the potential to cause harm. injury or damage to people, environment, asset, and company reputation.
- Following safety standards and ensuring that work is performed in accordance with procedures
